AUTOMOBILE CLUB VILLARS

The Club

The Automobile Club de Villars is not your average village car club.

Composed of a hand-picked alchemy of collectors, experts, and enthusiasts from the local automotive community, the Club aims to breathe new life and re-ignite passion for exciting motorcars in its village home, Villars-sur-Ollon.

With an extensive motorsport history spanning the past seven decades, breathtaking Alpine scenery, and some of Switzerland’s most exhilarating driving roads, including its own 8.3km world famous hill climb. Villars provides a unique and enviable backdrop for our select community of car lovers.

Officially launched in August 2022 at the Ollon-Villars Hill Climb Revival event, the Club is open to classic and supercar owners of all ages. It aims to bring together an interesting and dynamic mix of people from different worlds, both new and established, to help ensure the petrol-fuelled passion and story of Villars continues to be enjoyed for generations to come.

Set up as a not-for-profit association, the Club hosts a wide variety of car meets, rallies, and events throughout the year, also helping to raise funds for charity.

A message from the
Automobile Club Villars President,
Pierre Retord

1953: Founding year of the famous "Ollon-Villars" hill climb, which attracted the top drivers from the world championship to this mountain village.

1962: Juan Manuel Fangio, Louis Chiron, Nino Farina, and Toulo de Graffenried established the "International Club of Former F1 Grand Prix Drivers", which quickly expanded to become the "Formula One Grand Prix Drivers Club". This club brought together dozens of celebrated drivers who shared memorable moments in Villars.

2022: A team of enthusiasts decided to create the Villars Automobile Club, led by Jonathan Procter.

September 2024: After two years as president, Jonathan has chosen to step down while remaining a club member, and it’s with great pleasure that I’ve accepted the challenge of succeeding him!

Born in Geneva quite a few years ago and now living in Gryon since 2023, I am a devoted car enthusiast. To help me continue on the path Jonathan has laid out, I have the support of the committee members who worked alongside him during the club's "revival" in 2022.

My goals are simple: improve our visibility in a friendly atmosphere, where members can live and share their common passion.
Long live the ACV!
